Weekly schedule

This week

Meetings begin at Prism on Monday, November 9. All meetings are at 250 S 12th St.

New to meetings? Wednesday is Beginner night at both CMA Center City and Sober & Gay.

Coming soon: a new Narcotics Anonymous group. Recovery Dharma and other programs will follow.

Each meeting is run by an independent group. Prism provides the space and is not affiliated with any fellowship. Meeting details can change, so check with the group if you're unsure.

    First time?

    What to expect

    Do I have to talk?

No. Most people sit and listen at their first meeting. If someone asks whether you'd like to share, "I'll just listen today" is a complete answer.

    Does it cost anything?

No. Groups usually pass a basket to cover their own costs, like coffee and literature. Putting something in is optional, especially when you're new.

Do I have to be sober already?

No. You're welcome if you're thinking about recovery, just starting, or have been sober for years. AA and NA ask only that you have a desire to stop. CMA asks the same about crystal meth.

Is it only for LGBTQ+ people?

Prism is an LGBTQ+ recovery space, and everyone is welcome. Allies, friends and anyone in recovery can walk in.

Will people know I was there?

Anonymity is the foundation of these meetings. What's said in the room stays in the room, and Prism never shares who attends. No photos are ever taken during meetings.

    When should I arrive?

A few minutes early is good. It gives you time to find a seat and grab a coffee, and someone will usually say hello.
